Lyme Regis Bingo Fans Raise £30,000 for Community Initiatives

Bingo continues to trump the social development arena with a series of positive developments being recorded in recent years. The Lyme Regis community of England has an active and thriving bingo base. In 2006, a group of dedicated bingo players came together to assist the local community organizations. This they did by way of bingo donations and social development initiatives. To date they have managed to raise a staggering sum of £30,000.  The funds have gone towards local organizations throughout the area.

Lyme Regis Basks in the Glory of Bingo Mania

Reporting from Lyme Regis, View Online has made it known how the Lyme Regis Community Association (LRCA) has managed to host multiple bingo sessions. Indeed these were held weekly on the insistence of the Royal British Legion. The funds raised by the thriving bingo community have been ploughed back into multiple community projects around town. This comes as a welcome surprise to bingo fans, gaming fans and local community members. The UK is home to one of the most active bingo communities in the world. Indeed it is the epicentre of 90-ball bingo – the EU and UK favourite gaming phenomenon.

Reports Are Favourable and The Community is All Smiles

The secretary and treasurer, a Mr. Phillip Evans, reported favourably to the town’s bingo community that their efforts had secured a tally of some £31,300 for local development initiatives. In his speech to the community, Mr Evans commented:

We would like to thank you all for turning out in all winds and weathers to support the bingo sessions which has resulted in over £30,000 being raised since 2006 for local organizations,”

Multiple organizations have benefited from the community bingo initiatives. These include the likes of the Lyme Regis Football Club, the Lyme Regis Operatic Society, the Lyme Regis Pantomime Society, the Lyme Regis Majorettes, the St Michael’s Primary School, the Lyme Regis Christmas Lights Fund and the Lyme Regis Old Folk’s Christmas Dinner Fund. Together this bodes well for bingo initiatives throughout the UK and indeed continental Europe. Bingo gaming has proven itself to be the community’s preferred social gaming attraction, time and again.
